Overview

This project aims to build a unified platform for recruiters and job seekers, enabling job postings, applications, and profile management for companies and individuals. It includes a lead generation landing page for recruiters and a feature-promotional page for job seekers. As the product designer, I crafted every aspect of the flow—from landing page sign-up, onboarding, and job posting to application and hiring, as well as backend team management. Every element of this web app was designed with a keen focus on business goals and user experience.

Brand Goals

The brand aimed to create a comprehensive platform that not only covered standard market features but also stood out through an enhanced product experience and exclusive functionalities. They prioritized delivering an all-in-one solution for both job seekers and recruiters, integrating powerful tools like job search, candidate recruitment, application assessments, job analytics, and AI-driven resume analysis. This approach ensured a seamless, feature-rich experience that addressed diverse needs in the job market.

Insights and Research

  1. Market Research
Analyzed job platforms to identify standard features and improvement areas.

  2. User Survey & Interviews
Engaged with job seekers and recruiters to understand their needs and expectations.

  3. Competitor Analysis
Benchmarked industry standards and identified innovative tools to add value.

  4. Feature Prioritization
Selected features aligning with the brand's all-in-one solution, like AI resume analysis and job analytics.

User Persona

The target audience for job seekers included college students, recent graduates entering the job market, and experienced professionals seeking career changes. On the recruiter side, the platform was designed for HR professionals, hiring agencies, and small business owners in need of streamlined hiring solutions to build their teams effectively.

UX Goals

  1. Seamless Navigation
Design an intuitive interface for easy access to core features by both job seekers and recruiters.

  2. Efficient Job Matching
Use AI to enhance job recommendations for seekers and streamline candidate shortlisting for recruiters.

  3. Empowering Tools for Decision-Making
Provide tools like job analytics for recruiters and resume assessments for seekers to support informed decisions.

  4. Distinctive, Engaging Experience
Create a visually appealing, distinctive design that stands out with exclusive features for each user group.

  5. All-in-One Solution Accessibility
Integrate essential job search and recruitment functions, enabling users to complete multiple tasks within one platform.

User Flow

In mapping the user journey, I identified two primary pathways from the landing page: one for recruiters and one for job seekers. Both pathways lead to the signup/login page, where users authenticate before entering the platform. Once inside, job seekers follow two distinct flows—one for resume analysis and another directing them to Abekus Learning resources. Recruiters, on the other hand, have a unique flow that includes access to resume analysis, providing them with valuable insights for candidate evaluation.

Wireframe

Developed wireframes for both recruiter and job seeker flows, ensuring clear, user-friendly navigation. Multiple iterations were made to refine usability and align with core features, optimizing the experience before moving to high-fidelity designs.

UI Development

This project underscored the importance of user-centered design, especially when balancing the needs of distinct audiences like job seekers and recruiters. Emphasizing iterative feedback and prioritizing features that add real value helped create a seamless, impactful experience that drove engagement and user satisfaction.

Outcome

  • Platform traffic surged, drawing more active users.

  • Successful signups increased by 60%, enhancing user engagement.

  • Job postings rose substantially, driving recruiter activity.
